Our process has been developed and refined over years of pole painting experience. Here are the basics of what you can expect from us as we restore your poles and metal structures.
You send us a request for a bid. You may have specs, or you might ask us to write the specs for the project. Then, we look at the poles and price them competitively based on their condition. We send you the bid and you hire us for the project!
We do our best to reduce visual transitions where corrosion may have deteriorated your poles. After we power wash and grind all rust down to the bare metal, we grind all of the poles to an even, smooth surface.
Next, we apply rust-inhibiting epoxy to the bare metal. This will prevent new rust from forming. We apply this primer by hand at the manufacturer’s recommended spread rate of 10 mils to ensure thorough and complete coverage. Then, we allow the primer to dry for no less than 12 hours.
Finally, we will apply a premium industrial urethane finish coat. To ensure thorough and complete coverage, we hand roll the finish coat on at the manufacturer’s recommended spread rate of 4.25 mils.
